ALLEGED child rapist Darrell Cotterell urged two six-year-old girls to dance naked before he exposed himself to them, a court heard.
One of the girls, now middle-aged, said the incident happened when she lived abroad, and Cotterell entered her bedroom in just his swimming trunks after a social get-together.
She told Bristol Crown Court: "I never told anybody until years later. I was embarrassed and ashamed I took my clothes off. It was awkward because he was a friend of my father."
It is claimed Cotterell raped one girl at parties in Cotham in the 1970s. It is also alleged he abused a boy and another child when he returned from abroad to live in Bristol.
Cotterell, 65, of Hallen Road, Henbury, denies a serious sexual assault and two rapes of one girl.
He also denies attempted rape and eight indecent assaults on another girl, in the 1970s and 1980s, and four indecency charges and an attempted serious sexual assault relating to a boy in the 1980s.
His friend Royston Mitchell, 63, of Ashburton Road, Southmead, denies rape and nine indecency charges on two girls in the 1970s and 1980s.
Their friend Brian Macey-Morris, 72, of York Road, Montpelier, denies two attempted rapes and two indecent assaults on a girl in the 1980s. The jury has been told he is too unwell to participate in the trial.
A witness told the jury how Cotterell encouraged her and her friend to dance naked before exposing himself. She said: "He smiled. At that point my brother tried to come into the room but it was locked.
"He shouted to come in so Darrell stood up and opened the door."
The woman said she was so embarrassed by the encounter that she didn't tell anyone for years.
Stephen Mooney, defending Cotterell, suggested the witness had actually seen his client using a toilet.
She told him: "He was in my bedroom. He was there until he was interrupted by my brother trying to get in."
The witness' brother told the jury when he was aged eight Cotterell accompanied him on a beach walk abroad, and exposed himself to him.
He said Cotterell tried to get him to do the same, and invited him to engage in sex acts, but he declined.
The brother said he was never alone with Cotterell again, but Cotterell was "leery and lecherous" and encouraged him to admire his wife's body.
Another witness said she and others confronted Cotterell, following an allegation he had sexually abused a young girl, and Cotterell confessed wrongdoing.
The case continues.
