THE Labour Party has chosen Thangam Debbonaire as its candidate to fight Bristol West at the next General Election.
Ms Debbonaire, 45, a domestic violence specialist from St Werburgh's, was chosen from an all-women shortlist. She has promised to work to show the Coalition Government offers no solutions to the problems of her constituents. She said: "Our current MP has let down the people of Bristol West, having said one thing in opposition, and then done the complete opposite when the Liberal Democrats went into government with the Tories."
