Neo Geo X is still super boss, now comes in Limited Edition with an extra game
Nintendo's Wii U isn't the only gaming console launching this holiday -- portable Neo Geo hardware is arriving on December 6, and it's called the Neo Geo X. The somewhat pricey handheld is now available for pre-order, and incentivizing that pre-order is the promise of an extra game (ADK-developed fighting game Ninja Master), bringing the total of pre-loaded game software to 21 titles. This "limited edition" version still costs the same $200 that the normal version does, and it still comes with the same variety of supplementary hardware we've seen before (that $130 standalone remains date-less, sadly). For the full list of games in the LE, head past the break (spoilers: it's all the previously revealed 20 games, plus Ninja Master).

Way back in August iMore learned that Apple was planning to update the existing iPad 3 with what's now known as the Lightning connector, as well as some internal improvements, and re-release it alongside the iPad mini this fall. Well, it's fall now, the iPad event has been set for October 23 and lo and behold, new iPad 3 SKUs are reportedly starting to appear. Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac has the info:
Apple will announce a refreshed version of its full-sized, 9.7-inch Retina display iPad at its media event October 23rd, according to our sources. These people say that the new version of the iPad will retain the same $499, $599, and $699 WiFi-only price points, and the LTE line will retain the current $629, $729, and $829 pricing. With no price changes or additional storage capacities, we believe that the storage options of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB will also be retained.
To be clear, I don't believe this to be an iPad 4 by any stretch of the imagination, and while just a guess, I do expect Apple not to market it as a "new" iPad 3, but merely as the same iPad 3 now with a Lightning connector and LTE options for international markets. Any and all other improvements under the covers would just be opportunistic and likely not even mentioned.
If you bought an iPad 3 in the last 6 months, it won't be obsolete, and Apple won't be "screwing" you over. The iPad 3 was the best tech Apple could sell back when it was released, and now they can sell slightly better tech and give faster speeds to people in more parts of the world.
If you squint and turn your head just so, think of it as a similar situation to the Verizon iPhone and its new antenna. People in Australia and parts of Europe are getting an LTE iPad 6 months later than North America and, by-the-way, Apple has just happened to improved a few other things as well.
Of course, nothing is official until Apple holds it up on stage.

Bristol City fans' view with Matthew Withers
I REALLY just don't know where to start! I can't believe that we can go 2-0 up away at Bolton after 21 minutes, only to again display our soft side and concede three goals and lose the game.
At this level you have to be professional, work for each other and see the result through.
Stephen McManus came straight into the side and improved the centre of defence, but couldn't stop the alarming rate that we are conceding goals. I don't think it's any coincidence that since Greg Cunningham was injured we have struggled defensively and Derek McInnes must be pulling his hair out.
To be fair, the first goal for Bolton was from a well-struck free-kick, although with a ball along the ground like that you have to question the wall set up. Chris Eagles more often than not goes for power and yet the wall decided to jump and the ball went under them and into the corner of the net.
The second and third goals were shockers defensively and almost carbon copies of each other. The midfield allowed Bolton time on the ball to pick a pass, failed to pick up the runner and the defence was caught flat-footed allowing, first Spearing, and then Petrov to beat Heaton.
Knowing the sort of player that the manager was in his West Brom days, I am surprised that McInnes does not have a leader in the side within the middle of the park.
Our midfield lacks any real bite and penetration and we all know about the lack of creativity in the centre of the pitch. City need to display a nastier side and show the determination and desire to win a Championship game.
It's now been a year since McInnes took charge, and while I think that the quality of the team has improved, we still find ourselves struggling at the wrong end of the table. We have to turn this poor run of form around and quickly. Where has the Martyn Woolford from the first few games of the season gone? Woolford showed constant movement and was a real attacking threat but over the last few weeks has reverted back to the form of last season.
Cole Skuse has to get stronger and impose himself on games and the same can be said for Stephen Pearson. We can't expect the chairman and board to keep throwing money at the problem and so again I would question why any of the under 21 squad are not being given a chance.
We have two home games coming up this week against Burnley and Huddersfield and we have to look to take all six points and get back to the free flowing football we were playing at the start of the season. The whole team has to up its work rate but especially in the midfield. I would rest Liam Fontaine and start with Joe Bryan at left back.

Energy suppliers must tell you their cheapest tariff
Ofgem has pledged to make the system "simpler, fairer and more competitive" in a bid to end the confusion over complex tariffs which often put off customers switching their supplier.
The watchdog is also proposing to ban multi-tier tariffs to help users find the cheapest deals across the market.
Ian Marlee from Ofgem said they hoped to introduce some of the reforms by the middle of next year.
Mr Marlee said there would be no more than four tariffs for both electricy and gas.
And Ofgem is considering proposing a scheme where suppliers offer vulnerable customers and those who have not switched for some time an estimate of the cheapest tariff across the market, including their rivals.
He also revealed the watchdog was proposing to force the energy giants to include personalised information on bills and statements, telling consumers if they were on the cheapest deal and how much they could save if they switched.
He said suppliers presented information in different ways and Ofgem wanted this simplified so customers "can compare like for like".
"We have the right to put in place licence conditions to make the market simpler," he said.
"We think this will improve competition in the market to keep the pressure on suppliers to keep prices low."

Intel must fend off trouble from sluggish PC market
With Intel reporting a year-over-year drop in revenue and profit for its third quarter, industry analysts say the company isn't in trouble but it needs to ward it off -- and now.
Late on Tuesday, Intel execs blamed a tough global economy and the rise of the tablet for a tough Q3 report. The company reported that profit for the quarter ending Sept. 29 came in at $2.97 billion, compared to $3.47 billion in the same quarter in 2011.

Swastikas painted on shops and buildings in Stokes Croft
SHOPKEEPERS in Stokes Croft woke up to find more than 50 white swastikas daubed on walls, windows and cars in the area.
The offensive fascist symbols had been painted by someone overnight, in what looked like an indiscriminate manner.
Shop owners and workers were forced to clean off the graffiti before opening up for the day.
May Gurney cleaned off 42 of the symbols associated with Nazi Germany on behalf of the council, leaving only two still visible by 11am.
The shops vandalised included the Hooper House cafe, The Croft club, the Love Bristol Pop-up Bakery and the Runcible Spoon cafe on Nine Tree Hill.
Co-owner of the Hooper House, Andy Persson, had to clean four swastikas off the front of his shop.
"We've had people come and scratch the windows, but we've never had swastikas before," he said. "Like everyone else, I find them very offensive."
The pop-up bakery had five swastikas daubed on it, including a large one on a window.
Esme Wadie, who works at the charity-tun shop, said: "They were everywhere this morning and two of my housemates had them on their cars which were parked on Sydenham Road.
"We've been targeted with lots of graffiti before – we had a big paragraph of writing on the window once – but nothing like this.
"I don't know whether the people who did it are Nazis or they're accusing the people round here of being Nazis?
"It's hard to know why they would do something like this."
A man called Ben, 35, of St Paul's, spotted a number of the swastikas on his way to work and reported them to the council.
"I think it's absolutely disgusting," he said. "We all know the swastika is a symbol of hatred.
"There were so many it looked to me like it was some sort of campaign by whoever did it."
Anyone who knows who is responsible should call police on 101.

Apple loses appeal in UK court, must place ad stating Samsung didn't copy iPad
Apple has lost an appeal against a UK ruling regarding the similarity of the Samsung Galaxy Tab line of tablets to the iPad, and will be forced to run ads acknowledging that Samsung did not, in fact, copy the iPad design. The decision comes after Apple appealed a July ruling by the High Court that Samsung?s Galaxy Tab line of tablets did not infringe on the iPad?s design. Apple will have to post a link to the original judgement on its UK website, as well as run ads in major publications, the BBC reports:
The US firm had previously been ordered to place a notice to that effect - with a link to the original judgement - on its website and place other adverts in the Daily Mail, Financial Times, T3 Magazine and other publications to "correct the damaging impression" that Samsung was a copycat.
The appeal judges decided not to overturn the decision on the basis that a related Apple design-rights battle in the German courts risked causing confusion in consumers' minds.
The three judges determined that the Galaxy Tab did not infringe on the iPad based on the tests for infringement under UK law. This included the fact that Samsung?s logo is on the front of their device, where Apple?s registered design states that there should be ?no ornamentation?, and also that the Apple?s design features a ?sharp edge?, which the Galaxy Tab does not. The Samsung design was also said to be ?altoghether busier? than that of the iPad. Apple can still choose to appeal this decision to the UK Supreme Court.
Despite some victories Apple has lost a number of lawsuits to Samsung in a number of countries over tablet design. It should be noted that even in the case of the win in the US, Samsung was found not to have infringed on the iPad?s design, and their loss was entirely because the jury felt that they had infringed on the iPhone.
So was the Court of Appeal right in their decision that Samsung did not copy the iPad? Should Apple be forced to publicy acknowledge this on their website and in the press?
